Santigwar

Santigwar is actually a Bicolano term which I cannot really translate to Tagalog or English. But in my own words, it is a way of healing a person who may have maladies because of what supernatural beings did to them.

This is one 'equipment' that healers use. The healer and his/her assistant would hold this. Each would let one of the loops of the scissors hang on their finger. The healer would ask a question and if the whole contraption moves, it means something. I have forgotten if a move means a yes and not moving means no. Or if it was the other way around.

War Of Our Fathers

This was an exhibit that was still being set up when we went to the Albay Capitol last April. I so wanted to bring my grandfather here being a veteran himself.
